Weekend of June 5th or June 12th depending on easing of restrictions. The CSC restaurant has moved to Thosel Street in the village and Dermot and Gillian will welcome us there. The slipway, parking, camping, small kitchen in the sailors cabin and toilets are all available. For the Gentlefolk of Leisure there may be an opportunity to stretch the rally into a live aboard cruise at one or both ends.

Sep 11 '20Lough Corrib 20 Weekend
Due to the number of applications exceeding the maximum gathering size for outdoor events (15) we offered a weekend event and a 4 day event for two separated groups. Despite strong winds 4 crews from the weekend fleet launched at Lisloughrey and braved the lake but most of the fun was ashore. Lots of explorationof the South Mayo wonders over the weekend

Due to the number of applications exceeding the maximum gathering size for outdoor events (15) we offered a weekend event and a 4 day event for two separated groups. Despite strong winds 4 crews from the weekend fleet launched at Lisloughrey and braved the lake but most of the fun was ashore. The 9 boats in the 4 day event launched at Kilbeg and went to Corrig View Bay to shelter and visit Aughanure Castle. The fleet then went to Oughterard and onwards to overnight on Inchigoill. On the Monday morning the wind had disappeared and the fleet proceeded to Maam for a lovely overnight before heading back to Castle Kirk and then on to Kilbeg via Lisloughrey. Aug 28 '20Valentia
We were six boats, no currachs due to changes in COVID 19 regime. On Friday the wind was too strong for sailing so we walked to the stone forts Cahergall and Leacanabuile and then back to the RIC barracks via the park. Very interesting and enjoyable and gave us an appetite for Camos later. On Saturday we sailed to Beginis and enjoyed the beach before exploring and finding the Viking Settlement there. We then sailed in strong wind to Knightstown for further exploration, and to lower masts to go to Port Magee.to explore the fishing history and overnight at the pontoon there. On Sunday we investigated Ilaun Loughan and motored in calm out to the Skelligs where we landed two boats to take in the monastery. We had a good sail back around the lighthouse, with whale and dolphin sightings, taking the north coast of Valentia and Beginis back to Cahirsiveen

15 boats participated in outings to Ballydehob for Ramin lunch, to Sherkin Silver Strand, to Cape Clear and to Skeam East. Light winds with rain when crews were indoors. COVID impacted socialising ashore but lots of fun for all just the same
