Report

Thanks to the weather and local support - we had a fabulous weekend on the Corrib. The sun shone, and as there was little wind and the setting was so peaceful, we got plenty of practice rowing and sculling.

On Friday evening we assembled at Lisloughrey for a BYO BBQ and to get launched. Saturday Morning saw us rowing/motoring gently to Incgioill for an easy lunch and a relaxing day on the island; exploring the ancient sites. After a pleasant sail back to base we took a rented bus to Burkes in Clonbur for a delicious dinner (Beef or Salmon?) Yummy.
On Sunday morning we headed south towards Kilbeg, some of the fleet returning to Inchigoill. Four boats stopped at the tiny island of Inisbeagh for a relaxed picnic. The heat was incredible.

On Monday morning we motored around to Ashford Castle - enjoyed the gardens and the sunshine. The Early afternoon was spent in "Golden Bay" - yes - more relaxing!

Getting ready for the road was surely the most intense activity of the whole weekend!!
